The face is the first part of the body to show aging. For most people, crow’s feet, frown lines, and wrinkles start appearing before the age of 30. Wrinkle creams, face masks, and facials can help to slow the process down, but the most effective anti-aging treatment is filler injections. Creams and strong moisturizers can help slow down the process of wrinkle formation, but they do nothing to replenish facial volume. Fillers provide extremely effective results with no downtime, leaving you with youthful, rejuvenating skin. There are multiple different types of fillers suited for different patients based on skin type, age, and problem area.
About Restylane® Lyft (Perlane®)
Restylane® Lyft is a hydraulic acid-based injectable used to treat fine lines and wrinkles in the face. Restylane® Lyft is FDA approved to treat smile and laugh lines, but can also be used for plumping eyebrows, smoothing under the eyes, lip enhancement, and enhancing volume in cheek, chin, and jawline. Restylane® Lyft injections take about half an hour and have little to no downtime. The majority of patients feel nothing more than a little prick during treatment and experience minor swelling and redness for a few hours after the procedure.
Dysport® is a newer alternative to Botox®. It is primarily used to treat wrinkles and lines between the eyebrows. Dysport® works by reducing muscle activity. It targets specific muscles so the rest of your face can move naturally, and your face doesn’t look frozen. Dysport® is a quick procedure, and patients start to see results within two days. The results of Dysport® lasts four to five months.
